Ellul & Co are delighted to announce that Neil Lopez was appointed a Gibraltar Notary Public on 7th October 2016 after having successfully completed a two year Notarial Practice Course at University College London. He joins Senior Partner, Eric Ellul, and Managing Partner, Marc Ellul, as the third Notary Public of the firm. Neil's appointment supports the continued expansion of the firm and of our services.
A Notary Public is a legal officer of ancient standing and the oldest of the legal professions. The functions of notaries include the preparation, certification and attestation of legal and other documents, mainly for use in foreign countries. We act as an essential link between Gibraltar, a common law jurisdiction, and civil law jurisdictions where notarial documents are invariably required even for the simplest transaction.
Ellul & Co are committed to providing the highest standards of notarial services to our clients and to the Gibraltar business community as a whole. Having three notaries will ensure that we are always able to meet our clients' needs and can do notarial work at short notice. We are a multi-lingual firm and are able to issue notarial certifications in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
