Head of the Property Department
Ben C. Chiappe joined Ellul & Co in 2007. He was a general practitioner to start with but quickly became more and more specialised in property law. He is now a Director of the firm and heads up our property and conveyancing department.
Ben advises clients on all aspects of the purchase, sale, leasing, rental and financing of residential and commercial property. Largely through Ben’s efforts, Ellul & Co is on the panel of all lending institutions in Gibraltar. He regularly advises banks on lending facilities in relation to both residential and commercial transactions and is, therefore, authorised to represent banks regarding the mortgage finance of any given property.
Ben has built up a large and varied clientele ranging from developers, companies, private individuals, estate management companies and lending financial institutions. He has advised and assisted clients in several off plan developments and has recently represented a large number of clients in their purchases of Government-sponsored affordable housing developments.
Ben is renowned for his efficiency, friendly nature and welcoming character which makes his clients feel comfortable and relaxed that they are in good hands.
Ben holds an LLB from The University of Kent and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
